Planning your website:
To get the most from your free initial consultation, prepare by gathering the information listed below. The best thing you can do to get the most for your money is to take time to consider your goals:
- Why do you want to have an online presence?
- Do you want to attract and inform your local customers?
- What do you hope to accomplish?
Do this:
- Be sure to check out our List of Things to Consider!
- Write notes while you brainstorm; jot down your questions too.
- Make an outline of your needs.
- Organize folders where you add and store information and materials for your website:
- a physical folder with photos, brochures, company logo, written materials, etc.
- a folder on your computer with text for your website, digital photos, images, logos, and other electronic information
- Save links to websites that you like as well as those that you do not like; this is an excellent time to see what your competition is doing. Don't forget to take notes!

- any websites that have elements you like (e.g. colors, navigation, overall layout, the type of content and how it's presented)
